BRAVE Parade Indianapolis
MUSIC LESSONS
BRAVE offers individual and group classes in voice, drums, and piano. Our expert instructors are there every step of the way to support our students in setting goals and overcoming obstacles. They encourage the students to progress and become more confident in their musicianship. Whether they are a beginner or more advanced player, taking music lessons can help a person to perform better. We personally tailor our learning programs for every skill level.
VIDEOGRAPHY
Students effectively learn how to create original works in cinematography, editing, film production, field and location production, scriptwriting, studio production, podcasting, audio and other forms of media. Students also learn technical and professional skills essential to careers in motion picture production for cinema and television, and they are taught how to identify and employ emerging technologies throughout the creative process.
DRUM CORPS
City-wide drum line that exposes school-aged youth to the collegiate marching band culture by teaching them drum corps styled cadences, while simultaneously instilling ethical standards such as respect, discipline, and team work. The elementary aged participants, which we refer to as the “Eagle’s Nest,” play “bucket drums,” which are five (5) gallon buckets that sound like marching drums.
DANCE
BRAVE dancers are taught the foundations of dance, the history of classical dance, and multiple classical dance motions and routines. Our majorette dancers break into the specifics of majorette techniques. The majorette's routines coincide specifically with that of the drum corps. BRAVE offers a hip-hop cardio drumming fitness course. In this fitness class, the instructor emphasizes full body movement through the use of popular music, dance, and beats.
DIGITAL MEDIA
Students receive instruction and practical experience with powerful computer-based recording systems typically found in the modern recording and show production industry. The Recording Principles course introduces students to the theory and operation of essential audio tools ranging from microphones to mixers. Students are also introduced to the history, principles, and varied uses of MIDI, as well as sequencing techniques, synchronization, troubleshooting, and MIDI system design.
PERFORMING ARTS
BRAVE hosts public speaking workshops to assist students in becoming more comfortable on stage. BRAVE sponsors theater productions for the students and provides a platform for singers, song-writers, actors, rappers, poets, and artists, to showcase their talents on stage in front of an audience. BRAVE builds the confidence of its students by cultivating the gifts that they hold within and providing them with an opportunity to share those gifts and talents with the world.
